The iPod Battery ii does NOT change the internal iPod battery, it actually bypasses the internal battery and directly power the iPod. The iPod Battery ii is a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack (battery charger included) that can be charged over 400 times for up to 40 hours per charge. That is 16,000 hours of music playtime from the iPod Battery ii.
